Serbia-Russia gas deal


Serbia and Russia signed an agreement to supply 5 billion cubic meter annual natural gas, supplied by the giant "Gazprom".

According to the Serbian daily "B92", the agreement will be in force until 2021, and this amount of gas will help Belgrade to improve its energy security.

Bilateral agreement was signed by Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak and his Serbian counterpart, Zorana Mihajlovic, the Serbian government headquarters in Belgrade.

Prime Minister Ivica Dacic was also present at the firm's disposal.

The Russian government approved the export future for Serbia with the condition that the Balkan country to pay the outstanding $ 40 million for supplies between 1995-2001.

As a partner, Serbia will have a preferential price for gas in the next decade.
