Serbia threatens visas

Serbia could risk being blocked by the European Union and Schengen removed or visa-free travel to European countries. This is because the number of asylum seekers has increased significantly, especially reacted areas of Bavaria in Germany and other senior officials.

Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands who had complaints addressed to Serbia and Macedonia. According to sources, there will be some EU member states will take the initiative for a complaints procedure against Serbia to restore visas.

Serbia has been under scrutiny several times due to the large number of asylum seekers, primarily Roma Albanian, Serbian and later requested political asylum.

But Nenad Banovic, Chief of Border Police, says that the visa regime is not threatened. According to him, during the first eight months in Germany have sought asylum 2,714 people and this has happened due to the increase of social assistance for asylum seekers from Germany itself, especially during the month of September.

A refugee in Germany now gets about 800 euros in aid. The solution for the police is that Germany put Serbia in safe places and to shorten the process of examining asylum applications.
